My Very Dear Sir,

i am a comic artist from the U.S. and I just wanted you to know that you are my biggest influence. I like the kind of artist that you are. You are so innovative, so creative, so unique, and most of all you are politically aware. You are a great story teller. I hope that my life can look a little like yours. In any case your music has gotten me through many long nights, the story of your career has given me so much hope, and the stories you tell make me want to go around the world and tell stories with others; stories that matter- things about people's lives, and dreams and tragedies. Everything.

Please sir, know that i do not put you on a pedestal. As a fellow artist I know that the very best of our work (what really moves people) does not come from us; but from that which is too big to have a name.
I only want to thank you for working so hard, and for having the courage to continue on when you were insecure, frightened, or just plain broke.

I do hope i get to meet you some day and talk about art with you in person, but if I don't- thank you.
You have inspired my whole life.
